FOM 2024 promises to be an exciting event!

CrestOptics announces its participation in the prestigious conference FOM (Focus of Microscopy) in Genoa, Italy, on 24-27 March 2024. The conference, which brings together experts and professionals in the field of microscopy from around the world, is a key event for showcasing the latest advancements and innovations in imaging technology.

CrestOptics will be showcasing its microscopy solutions with a strong focus on providing high-quality and reliable microscopy solutions to make advancements in the field of life sciences. Moreover, CrestOptics products can be easily integrated into existing workflows, with maximum configuration flexibility enabling a broad range of imaging applications. Attendees can expect to see cutting-edge imaging technologies on display, as well as engage with our experts to learn more about how these technologies can impact their research and work.

We would like to acknowledge and express gratitude for the contributions of Pier Alberto Benedetti (1939-2023), who unfortunately passed away following the last FOM event in Porto. The advancement of confocal and super-resolution microscopy owes much to his innovative research, making the development and implementation of our technologies achievable.

Given the location in Genoa, not far from Rome where we are based, the CrestOptics team will be well-represented providing participants the chance to engage with individuals from different departments including R&D, marketing, sales, HR, and corporate. 3D live-cell imaging. AD-MSCs TRAIL cells (green fluorescence) actively migrate inside VITVO 3D matrix by surrounding A673 tumor cells (red fluorescence). The video shows the killing effect induced by AD-MSCs TRAIL to A673 tumor cells in an area of interest acquired with an X-Light V3 spinning disk combined with an Okolab incubator (H301-K-FRAME).

The cover image is a volume view (350 µm thickness) of an intestine tissue section, cleared in RapiClear reagent and stained for blood and lymphatic vessels. The acquisition was performed with X-Light V3 spinning disk.
