INTRODUCTION

We are pleased to invite you to the CrestOptics & Nikon Italy Open Day 2026, taking place on October 8th, where we will showcase the latest advancements in high-performance imaging technologies and the seamless integration between CrestOptics systems and Nikon microscopy platforms.

The event will focus on expert presentations from Nikon and CrestOptics, followed by interactive hands-on workshops.

In particular, this Open Day will feature live demonstrations of:

1) Nikon ECLIPSE Ji with the CrestOptics X-Light V3 spinning disk confocal.

Designed for both advanced live-cell imaging and routine laboratory workflows, the ECLIPSE Ji combines Nikon’s renowned optics with AI-driven automation via the NIS-Elements interface.

Trained neural networks handle alignment, focus, and acquisition parameters autonomously, minimizing user error and rapidly delivering reliable metrics like EC/IC50 values and Z-factors. As a state-of-the-art spinning disk confocal system, the CrestOptics X-Light V3 equips the ECLIPSE Ji with high-speed optical sectioning and exceptional resolution, making it ideal for capturing fast biological dynamics and exploring complex 3D microenvironments without complex manual setups.

2) Nikon Ti2-E body integrated with both the X-Light V3 spinning disk confocal and the DeepSIM X-Light super-resolution module.

This multimodal combined solution bridges wide-context imaging with nanoscale precision on a single setup. It allows researchers to seamlessly switch from large field-of-view overviews (such as full 3D tissue architectures or broad cell populations) to ultra-sharp sub-diffraction detail (like neuronal networks or chromosome segregation dynamics) on the exact same region, preserving sample integrity while maximizing data completeness.
